The Rev. Jane Herring is an author and ordained Presbyterian pastor. She holds an undergraduate degree in interdisciplinary studies on the use of creative writing with children in therapeutic settings from the University of Memphis, a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Master of Divinity from the Divinity School at Vanderbilt University. Jane taught college literature courses for many years until answering a call to ministry in 2008. She and her family enjoy creating art, walking in the Tennessee hills, and listening to all sorts of music. Jane also leads contemplative retreats on prayer, meditation, and using writing in prayer and spiritual formation.
