Hoyt L. Hickman, Former Director of Worship Resources at the United Methodist General Board of Discipleship (1972-94), played a key role in developing the current United Methodist Hymnal and Book of Worship. A leading authority on Christian worship, he is the General Editor of the hymnal supplement, a pastor, and a prolific author.
