Robert P. McDonald-Walker has a Ph.D in mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston. He was a mathematician with NASA and then taught college math at the University of North Carolina and other colleges. He then went to Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C., and graduated with a Master of Theological Studies degree in 2006. He currently serves as a part-time local pastor in the United Methodist Church and is assigned to Alpine, Highland and Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Churches in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia.
